Our compostable packaging is made from plant‑based and natural materials such as bagasse (sugarcane fibre), wheat fibre, palm leaf, cornstarch and other renewable sources.

The compostable ranges are:

• 100% natural and 100% compostable, and
• In the case of the unbranded compostable collection, fully certified to European Composting Standard EN13432.

Most of our compostable lines across the business also carry EN13432 certification.

• Branded Compostable – printed packaging from collections such as Gastro, Natural, Ecoco, Rosso and others. These lines give you off‑the‑shelf designs with strong shelf appeal on cups, trays, boxes and more.
• Unbranded Compostable – plain, neutral packaging in a wide choice of sizes and formats (hot cups, soup containers, sandwich wedges, salad boxes, cutlery, bags and more). Ideal if you want flexibility or you’re starting out.
• Own Design – custom‑printed cups, bags, napkins, bowls, boxes and other items that carry your logo and artwork. These products sit under the Own Design section and are backed by a full design service.

Labels sit alongside these ranges so you can tie everything together visually.

Yes. Cafe Brands supplies customers throughout Ireland, the UK and across Europe, with recorded delivery from our Dublin and UK mainland warehouses.

On the products page we also promise a guaranteed next working day delivery service on orders placed before 3 pm (Monday to Friday), excluding weekends, to your workplace.

If you order before 3 pm on a weekday, we aim to deliver next working day using a recorded delivery service to your workplace (weekend orders are processed on the next working day).

Recorded delivery simply means:

• There is a clear record of when it reached you

Minimum quantities vary by product type:

• For many unbranded compostable lines, you can order by the case directly from the shop, which suits smaller sites and trial orders.
• For custom‑printed and own‑design items, minimum print runs depend on the product (cups, bags, napkins, boxes etc.) and the printing method being used.

The easiest way to get a clear answer is to let us know which items you’re interested in; we’ll confirm current case sizes and any print run minimums before you commit.

Our plant‑based packaging is designed for commercial composting alongside food waste, where local facilities accept it. The brochure notes that our catering disposables are intended to be commercially composted with food waste, and our compostable ranges are certified against EN13432, which is based on industrial composting conditions.

Some items may break down in a well‑managed home compost heap, but performance will vary. For accurate disposal guidance you should always follow your local waste provider’s instructions.
